The CYP Club is hosting a group beautification/landscape effort at Deshler Park to create a safe environment for kids and families to use the playground. Volunteers will be laying mulching and picking up trash as needed at the playground at Deshler on Saturday, August 19th from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Columbus Recreation and Parks Department will provide supplies. Please be sure to bring a water bottle, sunscreen and hat for protection on sunny days.
This community park provides facilities for child and family friendly activities. Mulching the playground area helps provide an additional measure of safety, cushioning the impact for children as they climb, stumble, trip and occasionally fall.
What to wear: Closed-toed shoes, a hat/sunglasses, and clothes that can get messy.
Where to park: There is a parking lot in front of the playground.
